Welcome to the City of Kake, Alaska. Kake, located among numerous islands in central southeast Alaska, Kake hosts an annual population of approximately 500 people. Kake is nestled in the Tongass National Forest, among islands rich in natural resources -- timber,
fish, wildlife, and mineral resources. Kake lies at approximately 56° 58' N latitude and 133° 56' W longitude and is located on Kupreanof Island, which is roughly the size of Rhode Island.
