
Fourth of July
Held on the 3rd and 4th of July, the City of Kake hosts celebrations with food, competitions, and lots of fun. There is also an annual Baby King and Queen contest to help fundraise for prizes. This is open to any 0-3 year old child who lives in Kake.

Organized Village of Kake Annual Meeting
Held annually in April. This is an opportunity to showcase all that OVK has done and is doing during the year.

Kake Day
Kake Day is celebrated on January 8th of every year. This day celebrates when Kake became an incorporated 1st class city in 1912 after petitioning the territory of Alaska. There is generally a commuity gathering and potluck either on the 8th or following shortly after.

Dogsalmon Festival
Kake Tribal Corporation hosts a yearly celebration generally towards the end of July or early August. Traditionally, it celebrated the fishing fleet's success for that year. There are booths, activities, races, and other events taking place.

June: June 2-June 26-- Summer Reading Program and open library time from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm. Mon-Thurs. June 21st-- Sealaska Heritage Meeting at the community hall
July: July 3rd--Events start at 11:00 am pickleball, cornhole, bunker gear race, softball and food court July 4th--10 am events start. Dessert contest, Parade at 11, T-run, relay races, baby Keku queen and king contest, 3 on 3 tourney, and fireworks disolay July 26/27--Kake Tribal Tourism Dogsalmon Festival. More details to come.
