Seal Point is one of the easiest destinations to reach in Kake. Following the road south out of town will end directly at Seal Point. There are three day time shelters, fire pits, restrooms, a boat launch, and steps leading down to the water for easy access.

This trail is maintained by the Forest Service and the Keex Kwaan Community Forest Partnership. It was just updated in 2023 to create a safer trail down to the falls.  This area is popular for day hikes and swimming.

Thanks to a new road completed in 2022, Kake now has road access to Portage Bay, which was previously only reachable via boat.  This bay serves as a great connection point for those trying to reach Petersburg or for anyone looking to go fishing.

One of the closer beaches to town, this beach is accessible from a few different roads that branch out from the main loop north of town.  Used by many as a great place to camp, picnic, whale watch, and kayak or paddleboard.

Built and maintained by the forest service, this cabin is reachable by a very muddy trail hike, or by boat at high tide.  The cabin is a dry cabin, but has a wood stove inside. A favorite family camping spot as well as a great duck hunting spot.
